“For the Lord will not cast off forever, but, though He cause grief, He will have compassion according to the abundance of His steadfast love.”Lamentations 3:31-32

He does punish our sins.
But He also restores us when we repent.

He does work through suffering.
But He also works through sweet times of abundance.

He does allow us to walk through dark valleys.
But He also guides us through green pastures.

He does allow us to suffer consequences of our sin.
But He also gives us mercy.

He does wait for us to step out in faith.
But He also gives us the faith we need to seek Him.

He does allow us to stumble.
But He also catches us when we do.

He does allow us to choose.
But He also gives the choice to choose Him.

He does punish sin.
But He also pours out great compassion on repentant sinners.

In the waves of life, sometimes we only see the suffering, the punishment, the suffering, the grief. And we must fight to see the whole picture.

We must fight to see a God of justice and a God of mercy.
We must remind ourselves that we serve a God power and a God of love.
We must work to see a God who allows us choice and a God who works through all things.

We won’t remember these things on our own. We won’t see His love and grace when we’re in the valley unless we’re willing to fight for a right perspective of who He is…a complete perspective of who He is.

Perspective isn’t automatic.
Our wandering heart is prone to forget.
Let’s fight to remember who He is…the complete picture.

Be blessed
