Church planting is…
…joy.
Joy at lives changed.
Joy because the lost are found.
Joy because of the everyday tiny miracles happening all around you.
Joy because of the mind blowing once-in-a-lifetime miracles that you somehow get to be a spectator of.
Joy because God is alive and working and changing hearts and lives.
Church planting is…joy. Inexplicable, unashamed, radiant joy.
Because you only loose your passion for ministry when you no longer see the purpose. And you only loose your faith in God’s power when you fail to see His power all around you. Because clinging to the joys and celebrating the blessings isn’t an option…it’s a must.
Because without celebrating the work of God we’ll loose our joy and our passion and our power.
And church planting is…
…pain.
Pain over lives lost and broken.
Pain over desicions made that break and shatter lives.
Pain over lost lives and lost souls and eternity lost for so many.
Pain over death and sickness and loss and shame.
Pain over broken relationships and broken hearts.
Pain over people’s choices and people’s suffering and people’s wandering…
Pain over people…people you love and care about.
Because you only loose your passion for ministry when you no longer see the purpose. And you only loose your faith in God’s power when you fail to see His ability to work all around you. Because breaking over the lost and the broken isn’t an option…it’s a must.
Because without our hearts breaking for what God’s heart is breaking for we’ll loose our purpose and our passion and our mission.
Church planting is joy and pain.
You’re never perfectly joyful and you’re never completely broken.
Because church planting is a mission of hope in a broken world…church planting is joy and pain…
Be blessed
