Church planting is about seeing more of Jesus.
More Jesus in our cities.
More Jesus in our homes.
More Jesus in our families and marriages.
More Jesus in our workplaces.
More Jesus in our conversations.
More Jesus in our hearts and minds and lives.
Church planting is about seeing more of Jesus…seeing Jesus made greater.
Church planting isn’t about seeing more people in a building on Sunday morning…it’s about seeing hearts and lives and cultures transformed by Jesus.
Church planting is about Jesus permeating every part of us, the church, more completely each day. And as we are filled up, we then strive to see our own Jesus saturated lives used to make His name known and loved by more and more people.
Church planting isn’t about more churches…it’s about more Jesus. More Jesus in us and overflowing from us to change the culture around us for Jesus’ glory.
But we must not forget…more Jesus in us and overflowing from us and changing the culture around us for Jesus will also mean more churches.
Be blessed

That is a great way of putting it! And I think “More Jesus” is a cause every Christian can get behind.
Thanks Lynnae! To me this is it…more Jesus. And if we only keep this the main focus, so many other things fade in importance.Alesha <3
i recently read a 8 day explanation from a family I know who is moving back to their hometown to a rundown neighborhood to share Christ’s love. This article reminded me of their story. Thanks for sharing.
What a neat story! <3 I love hearing about others who are following Jesus with everything they have
In the sense that “more churches” means more Christ followers and adding to the fellowship of believers, I would agree. In the sense that “church” implies “community” I would agree.
But… if more churches just means “more big church buildings” then we’ve done little to bring more of Jesus into our world. Just food for thought.
I think that is exactly what I was trying to say…we don’t need more buildings or programs, unless they are being built to point people to Jesus or because more people are coming to Jesus. Big churches aren’t bad. In fact, I think big churches can be a very, very good and wonderful thing when they are built because more people are coming to Jesus, and I know several big churches who are doing just that…building more buildings because more and more people are seeking and finding Jesus. Sometimes it is easy to come down on big churches just because they are big, but so often (although not always) big churches form because lots and lots of people are finding Jesus and then sharing Jesus in their communities. And that is an amazing and wonderful thing! If every church became a mega church because we lived out loving Jesus more and more people responded to it, that would be amazing!Alesha <3
Reading this makes me so excited! I grew up in South Florida – Perrine & then Homestead. I graduated from FSU. Even though I married and moved away – north to Atlanta – I consider myself a Florida girl. Yes, more Jesus in South Florida! Yes, amen!!
How awesome! You were right near where I am now then! I love meeting people who are from South Florida…it is such a unique place. <3
More Jesus. Period. Yes!! That’s what we all need, yes? Love how you boil down something that can seem so complex to the most basic, action-inducing truth. Blessings to you on the journey.
Thank you so much! It is so good for my heart to find ways to come back to what it is really all about. <3
Love this! It’s so true!
