He called me because He loves meHe called you because He loves you
He saved you because He loves you
He has changed you because He loves you
And He’s going to keep changing you and me everyday from here till heaven because He loves us. And that…the change…that is a part of His plan. That is part of the greater purpose.
Because changing hearts? Only God can do that. And a changed heart always leads to a changed life. Always. It’s the change that brings Him glory, and His glory is the purpose.
It’s believing in Jesus that saves us, but it’s the change that shows our faith. It’s the change that brings Him glory and honor. It’s the change that makes us the salt and light of the earth. It’s the change that stores up treasure in heaven for us.
He saves us because He loves us.
And He changes us because He loves us.
He changes us to make us like Himself.
And Him? He’s perfect.
So us? We’re in the process of being made perfect.
So sisters, let’s not resist Him. Let’s let the Word of God have it’s full effect in our hearts and minds today…this week.
Let’s breathe His Word in deep.
Let’s breathe it into the confident and put together places.
Let’s breathe it into the frightened and hurt places.
Let’s breathe it into the painful and broken places.
Let’s breathe it into the ugly and secret places.
Because no matter how it hurts, the change is good if it’s God that’s doing it.
