“Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.”Isaiah 43:1b-2

A promise to Israel.
A promise to the Israelite nation.
A promise to God’s chosen people.

A promise for us.

Promise3

Because this promise is a specific word to specific nation in a specific time, but it is also so much more than that.

It shows the heart of our Savior.
It shows His mercy.
It shows His steadfast love.
It shows His power.

“Because you are precious in my eyes, and honored, and I love you, I give men in return for you, peoples in exchange for your life. Fear not, for I am with you…”
Isaiah 43:4-5a

Sister…
You are God’s daughter.
You are loved by God.
You are precious in God’s sight.

You will not be alone.
You will not be overwhelmed.
You will not be burned.
You will not be consumed.

You will pass through deep waters.
You will face raging rivers of doubt and discouragement.
You will walk through the fires of life.
You will be tested in flames.

But you will not be alone or overwhelmed. You will not be burned or abandoned or consumed or lost.

You will be loved. You will be held. You will make it through.

For…
You are created for His glory.
You bear His image and His name.
You were called to bring Him praise

And the radical love of the God who made you and the promise of His presence with you will be enough to bring you to praise in the midst of your storm.
You are His.

Be blessed
