Friday night we helped a friend celebrate his birthday. He had always wanted to do a bonfire on the beach, but in our area of South Florida, those are not allowed. So he and his wife, came up with the brilliant idea of putting tea lights in mason jars and placing and having those be our fire.
He dug out a little pit in the sand to place all the jars in and we used a log lighter to light the tea lights. I had a bag of 100 tea lights from ikea that were unsecured and burned for a couple hours each. We roasted marshmallows, listened to some of the guys play music, threw around a light up frisbee, and chatted by our makeshift bonfire. It was a beautiful night. We will definitely be doing this again.
