“In love, He predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ.”Ephesians 1:4-5
He has adopted me.
I was orphaned, alone, broken, weak, unprotected.
And He, of His own accord, reached in and adopted me.
Now…
I belong
I am beloved
I am cared for
I am part of a His family
I am cherished
I am protected
I am loved
I don’t have to go looking for love, for a home, for acceptance, for peace, for protection, for grace. I don’t have to do anything to earn these things. They’ve been given to me freely. I am His.
We are His.
You are His.
Let these truths sink into your soul. Breathe them into the deep and broken places of your heart.
Do you feel His love? Breathe it in.
Then look at the church…the bride of Christ. Speak those words over your sisters and brothers.
Do you feel His love for them? Breathe it out.
Then look at the world…they are orphaned, hurting, broken, alone, weak, unprotected. Pray freedom for those who are captive to the world.
Do you feel His love for them? Breathe it out.
Because His love is for you and then the world. His love is poured into you so you might in turn pour it out. Can you feel it? Can you hear His song of love being sung over you? Over us? Over the world? Breathe it in deep and let Him breathe it out full and free through you.
We are LOVED
