Rest well.
It was such a strange concept to me at first.
I thought that resting was resting, there couldn’t possibly be a way to mess it up. But you can. I can.
And I do.
I have some time off or an hour free or a day of rest and I do something fun instead of something restful. Because fun and rest aren’t always the same thing.
And fun is good and healthy and needed in our lives, but fun doesn’t always equal rest or relaxation.
Because what is restful for me may not be restful for you. I had a professor in college who made us write a list. We had to right down all the things we could think of that helped us relax and recharge. Then we left class early and had to go do one of those things.
