Hello, My Name is…
Alesha
Wife
Daughter
Kids Ministry Coordinator
Tutor…
Or on some days my name is…
Alesha
Broken
Unloved
Condemned
Ugly
Unworthy…
But both those lists…those aren’t who I am.
The first list is what I do.
The second list are the lies I sometimes believe about myself.
Because sisters, those things are lies. Any label you apply to yourself other than Greatly-Loved-Daughter-of-the-King-of-Kings is a lie.
Yes I might fail.
Yes I might sin.
Yes I might have days where I don’t look particularly stunning.
But those are not who I am.
On Friday, I have the privilege of co-hosting the “Hello, My Name is…” link up with two other beautiful, godly bloggers.
This link up is about recognizing and rejecting the lies that we live under and instead recognizing and living as who we are the through the grace of God.
And I can’t think of any better time for this link up than Good Friday. The day we celebrate Jesus’ death. The day He payed the price to give us these new identities.
Because this isn’t some feminist movement trying to self-liberate women. This is a movement of women on their knees seeking to more rightly understand the heart of their Father towards them and to live from our new identities.
So will you join us this Friday?
What new name has God been revealing to you?
What new identity has God given you to live under?
How is this realization changing the way you live your life?
You can visit any of our blogs to link up your post, then stick around to read what God is doing in the hearts and lives of other women. You will be blessed and encouraged.

If you’re interested, look back at last time where I wrote about being Whole and Holy.
